Digital-Signature-Based Authentication
Description
Authentication by public-key digital signature, for cases where a verifier must confirm a message's origin without holding the signer's secret, unlike the shared-key MAC schemes. It follows the Digital Signature Standard, commonly with RSA at 4096-bit keys for new missions, with DSA and elliptic-curve ECDSA available as alternatives.
