Algorithm Mode of Operation

Description

How the block cipher is applied across the bytes of a frame. The default is Counter mode, which turns AES into a stream-like cipher well suited to the variable, packetized traffic of a space link; other modes are allowed only after a mission deliberately weighs their suitability.
