Optical Jamming (Links/Sensor Blinding)

Parent: T2049

Description

An attacker can conduct optical attacks with high power laser beams to target optical sensors or optical links. If the payload uses cameras or other optical sensors to take pictures or measurements, they can be blinded or damaged. • T2049.002 'Optical Jamming (Links/Sensor Blinding)' covers laser dazzling of optical sensors — addresses DE-0009.04's optical-dazzling subset (confusing centroiding and detection in onboard cameras and star-tracker side products).

    moderate

T2049.002 'Optical Jamming (Links/Sensor Blinding)' covers the laser-attack subset of EX-0018 (high-power lasers blinding optical sensors and damaging optical links).

T2049.002 'Optical Jamming (Links/Sensor Blinding)' is the direct cross-framework counterpart of EX-0018.02 High-Powered Laser — both describe high-power laser attacks blinding/damaging optical sensors and links.
