Spacecraft Jamming
Description
If the victim uses a free space (over the air) communication, it can be threatened by jamming attacks. An attacker can perform a Denial of Service (DoS) attack to limit or block the service availability through RF jamming. For Proximity-1 jamming becomes difficult, because of high distance from Earth (upload) and the use of commercial frequencies (download jamming would affect a lot of other terrestrial links). Jamming of the ranging signal could lead to the total loss of ranging data, and potential navigation errors.

T2049 'Spacecraft Jamming' is specifically about jamming the spacecraft's free-space communication — direct match to EX-0016.01 Uplink Jamming (transmitter targets the spacecraft's uplink receive antenna).
T2049 covers free-space RF jamming — applies to EX-0016.03 PNT Jamming (raising the noise floor in GNSS bands at the spacecraft's receive antenna). SPACE-SHIELD has no PNT-jamming-specific sub-technique.
