Ground Segment Jamming
Description
An attacker can jam the communication to prevent data being delivered. TT&C: Usually is possible to wait and communicate later without noticeable problems. Proximity-1: jamming is difficult, because of high distance from Earth (upload) or the use of commercial frequencies (download jamming would affect lot of other terrestrial links). Jamming of the ranging signal could lead to the total loss of ranging data, and potential navigation errors. C&S Sublayer provides methods for frame re-synchronization.

T2050 'Ground Segment Jamming' covers downlink jamming that prevents telemetry from reaching the ground — addresses the denial subset of DE-0002 Disrupt or Deceive Downlink.
T2050 'Ground Segment Jamming' is the direct cross-framework counterpart of DE-0002.02 Jam Link Signal — both describe jamming the downlink signal to prevent telemetry from reaching ground controllers.
T2050 'Ground Segment Jamming' is the direct cross-framework counterpart of EX-0016 Jamming for the downlink/ground-receiver subset — both describe jamming communication to prevent data delivery to ground users.
T2050 'Ground Segment Jamming' is the direct counterpart of EX-0016.02 Downlink Jamming — both describe jamming the downlink-reception path so ground users cannot receive data.
